Now that the Apple Watch is available, smartwatches are suddenly of interest to the general populace. Ignoring for a moment that Apple is far from first to this product category, everyone seems to have agreed that software keyboards simply don’t make sense on a 1.5-inch screen. Some researchers from the Universitat Politècnica de València and the University of Stuttgart think otherwise and have developed a tiny on-screen QWERTY keyboard that they claim is usable.
